Find The Download (Checklist)

By far the easiest way to locate a download is through the browser you used to download the file in the first place.

Below are instructions for Firefox, Chrome, and IE

Firefox Downloads

  1. Open Firefox if it is not still open.
  2. Press Ctrl+J.
  3. Place the cursor on the name of the file and click the right mouse button.
  4. Place the cursor on Open Containing Folder and click the left mouse button to navigate to the file.

Chrome Downloads

  1. Open Chrome if it is not still open.
  2. Press Ctrl+J.
  3. Place the cursor on Show in folder for your selected file name.
  4. Click the left mouse button to navigate to the file.

Internet Explorer Downloads

  1. Open IE if it is not still open.
  2. Press Ctrl+J.
  3. Place the cursor on the name of the file and click the right mouse button. A downloads menu opens up.
  4. Place the cursor on Open Containing Folder and click the left mouse button to navigate to the file.
